We have received official word that the West Side Historical Block was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. We could not be more proud and excited for the opportunities this will bring to our community.

(Fulton, NY) The 8 buildings on West Broadway between W. 1st and W. 2nd Streets were listed in the State Register of Historic Places in September and in the National Register of Historic Places on December 1st.  Being listed in the registry makes the buildings eligible for restoration grants and restoration tax credits.

Fulton Mayor Deana Michaels commented “Fulton has a rich history and preserving these 8 buildings will help tell our story to future generations. The Broadway Commercial District is a beautiful area of our city that is deserving of this recognition,” the Mayor said. “Now that their historic status has been approved, this opens doors to much-needed funding, grants and additional preservation support. And it will tie in nicely to the proposed Downtown Revitalization Initiative projects for the historical downtown area.”
