The City of Fulton Highway Division will continue picking up yard waste and leaves until December 1, 2021.
Christmas trees will be picked up through the holiday season.
Please place your yard waste and leaves in the right-of-way between the curb and sidewalk. Placement in the road creates a dangerous situation for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Residents also have the option to dispose of yard waste at the City of Fulton Department of Public Works Garage dumping area located at 17 Edgarton Drive just off of Phillips St. ∙ This area is open to the public free of charge at all times.
-
Only residents located in the City of Fulton are permitted.
-
Contractors are not permitted.
-
Please strictly adhere to the rules on the signage entering the dump site. ∙ No plastic bags are accepted at the dump site.
Another option for disposal is the Oswego County Bristol Hill Landfill located at 3125 State Route 3 which accepts brush under 6 inches in diameter and wood chips free of charge.
Residents are encouraged to use other environmentally friendly ways of disposing of leaves. Place leaves in and around plant beds and under trees and shrubs to provide nutrients for the soil and insulation for rose bushes and other fickle plants, or use a mulching lawn mower to return those nutrients back to your lawn.
