MILLING & PAVING NOTIFICATION 2021
The City Of Fulton has scheduled this summer’s street milling and paving activities. Milling and paving will begin July 2021 and will continue through August 2021. Once the construction begins on a street segment, it should not take more than 2 weeks for completion. Cars parked on the street during this time may be towed at the owner’s expense. There is to be no parking at any time during the period of construction, even if there appears to be no construction taking place on your road. Letter’s have gone out to residents to explain the details which include:
The 2021 Pavement Project for the City of Fulton consists of:
-
The existing roadway will be milled to a depth specified by the contract. This will in effect lower the road temporarily. Access to your driveway will be granted at all times.
-
Tack Coat Placement: A layer of tack coat will be placed immediately prior to the placement of the asphalt. This tack coat can be very difficult to remove if it happens to get splashed onto your vehicle. Avoid driving on the tack coat when at all possible.
-
Roadway Paving: Once the tack coat has been placed, Hot-Mix Asphalt will be placed on your roadway. The final product can be adversely affected based on traffic volume on your road during placement. We ask again that you limit the amount of travel required during the placement of asphalt.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this project.
